La Voie Verte is a hidden gem in the Dordogne — a former railway turned into a stunning biking trail that winds through the heart of the French countryside. From there, pedal your way along the scenic 25 km route to Cazoulès, gliding past walnut groves, goose farms, and postcard-perfect villages.

We made a delightful stop in Rouffillac for cold drinks and a plate of crispy fries under the trees — the perfect mid-ride treat. With about half the path shaded by leafy canopies, it’s a relaxing ride even on warm summer days. This peaceful, car-free trail offers a perfect slice of rural France.
